Dr. Jane Wangui Machira is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist with a passion for fertility treatment. She works as a specialist Obstetrician/Gynecologist at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) and has over 10 years of experience in reproductive health.

She is an authority in contraception, pre-natal care, child delivery, STD treatment, and related surgical procedures. She serves as an Obstetrics and Gynecology Lecturer at the University of Nairobi’s School of Medicine.

Dr. Machira holds a OBChB and a Master of Medicine in Obs/Gyn from the University of Nairobi. She completed extensive advanced infertility medicine training in Gujarat, India, and laparoscopic surgery training at the International School of Medicine in Kiel, Germany.

She is certified by the KMPDB, is a member of the Kenya Obstetrics and Gynecology Society, and serves on the Infertility Committee at KNH setting up assisted reproductive department (IUI/IVF) systems.

Dr. Maureen Owiti is an obstetrician gynaecologist with vast experience in the field and great devotion to women and their reproductive health needs. She completed medical school with a First Class Honors degree from the Russian Peoples’ Friendship University.

She completed her residency at the University of Nairobi’s Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department based at Kenyatta National Hospital, and has gone on to work across Kilifi District Hospital, Machakos Provincial Hospital, and Thika Level 5 Hospital.

Through dedicated mentorship, Dr. Owiti developed a deep interest in the subspecialty of Fertility, working with many couples to restore fertility using advanced procedures including laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery and targeted contraceptive management.

She works across both public and private sectors, acting as an honorary lecturer at KNH's Department of Obs/Gyn. She runs Gynacare alongside Dr. Jane Machira, offering tailor-made reproductive solutions for the modern Kenyan woman.
